Contents | The aim of the course is twofold: |
Textbook and course materials | Sector Analysis: |
Course objectives | For training purposes, the Course provides students with the tools to carry out the analysis of a sector and draw up a plan for starting a new business also through the application of models and techniques already known (applying knowledge and understanding); theoretically, it provides system knowledge about strategic analysis and business creation issues. Thanks to the balanced mix of theory and practical applications (including laboratory) it will help to develop knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of the specific discipline capacity in line with the educational objectives of the degree course. Recourse to the use of case histories and laboratory practical applications improves students’ independent judgment (making judgements) in the development of problem solving solutions according to business logic. The laboratory activities see students as an active part; students who want to form groups develop project works and make experience of the communication activities performing role playing logic and / or directly to an audience of experts and operators (communication skills). |
Prerequisites | Students must know the main business theories and entrepreneurial and strategic behavior; they must know how to apply the models on which the management of the enterprises is based (directional and operational) with particular reference to the models of strategic analysis and to the schemes useful for economic and financial evaluations. |
Teaching methods | The course includes two types of activities: |
Evaluation methods | The final test for all students consists of the oral test which must find the positive correspondence with the teacher that leads to a dialogue. From this, it is possible for the teacher to evaluate the degree of understanding, assimilation and application of the in-depth institutes from a problem solving perspective. The exam can only be passed if the student satisfactorily answers the threshold questions. |
Other information | Students will be considered "attending students" if they have participated in more than 70% of the didactic hours (in the classroom and / or laboratory). |
