Gli scopi di questo corso sono insegnare agli studenti a:
- accedere alle Statistiche Ufficiali;
- produrre Statistiche Ufficiali;
- analizzare le Statistiche Ufficiali con metodi statistici adeguati;
- leggere e applicare i codici R.

Conoscenze matematiche con particolare approfondimento di algebra matriciale, derivate, massimi e minimi.
Competenze di statistica descrittiva, inferenza statistica e probabilità

L'insegnamento è organizzato come segue.
- Lezioni frontali, durante le quali il docente presenta gli argomenti del corso e cerca di catturare l'interesse degli studenti, presentando esempi, ponendo e rispondendo a domande.
- Esercitazioni svolte dal docente rivolte alla PROGETTAZIONE di INDICATORI E INDAGINI PER LA STATISTICA UFFICIALE attraverso il software open-source R
- attività di gruppo, sotto la supervisione del docente, rivolte alla PROGETTAZIONE DI INDICATORI E INDAGINI PER LA STATISTICA UFFICIALE attraverso il software open-source R.
- Studio individuale: agli studenti vengono proposti libri di testo, diapositive ed esercizi utili allo sviluppo dell'apprendimento autonomo.
- materiali scaricabili dalla piattaforma dell'Università Vanvitelli
- interazioni con i Docenti attraverso incontri, email, sito e-learning

L'esame consiste nella discussione di un case study, assegnato durante il corso, utilizzando il pacchetto R. Il caso di studio sarà discusso in una prova orale, in cui gli studenti saranno chiamati a spiegare e discutere le strategie metodologiche e computazionali adottate.
In alternativa, lo studente può applicare la metodologia statistica studiata utilizzando l'ambiente di programmazione R alla presenza del docente.

Statistical methods for the analysis of indicators and survey data

The purposes of this course are to teach students to:
- access to Official Statistics;
- produce Official Statistics;
- analyze Official Statistics by suitable statistical methods;
- read and apply the R codes.

Mathematical skills with particular in-depth knowledge of matrix algebra, derivatives, maximums, and minimums.
Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics, and probability

The teaching is organised as follows.
- Lectures, during which the teacher presents the course topics and looks for to capture student interest, by presenting examples, by asking for and answering questions.
- Exercises conducted by the teacher addressed to INDICATORS AND SURVEYS DESIGN FOR OFFICIAL STATISTICS through the open-source software R
- group activities, supervised by the teacher, addressed to INDICATORS AND SURVEYS DESIGN FOR OFFICIAL STATISTICS through the open-source software R.
- Individual study: textbooks, slides and exercises useful to the development of the autonomous learning are suggested to students.

The exam consists of the discussion of a case study, assigned during the course, using the R package. The case study will be discussed in an oral exam, in which students will be asked to explain and discuss the methodological and computational strategies adopted.
Alternatively, the student can apply the statistical methodology studied using the R programming environment in the presence of the teacher.
