The "open archives", known by the term "Open Archives", are organized server-containers, where you can freely deposit your scientific works. These models, still in an embryonic stage but already well anchored to a consolidated architecture within the network, for certain disciplines are already at an advanced stage. Open Archives represent an important alternative to commercial electronic publishing for scholars.
